Board of Commissioners of Trust Funds
Minutes of the September 10, 2009 Meeting

Present:  Mayor Driscoll, Robert Lutts and Thaddeus Buczko

Andy Lapointe attended the meeting and outlined the Lifesaver Program status.
At this time they have received $500 from Dominion and will also contact the Salem Rotary for a donation of $1,250.00.  The Board agreed that this is an outstanding program to help elder residents of Salem.  Robert Lutts made a motion to approve $1,250.00 from the Endicott fund to the Friends of Salem Council on Aging for the program.  The motion was seconded by Thaddeus Buczko and voted unanimously.

Robert Lutts made a motion to approve the minutes of the August 13, 2009 meeting.
The motion was seconded by Thaddeus Buczko and voted unanimously.

The Salem Council on Aging submitted a request for medication expense reimbursement for $2,029.42 from the Endicott fund.    Robert Lutts made a motion to approve the request.  The motion was seconded by Thaddeus Buczko and voted unanimously.

The Salem Council on Aging submitted a request on behalf of Salem resident to purchase a medical sleeve to help with her surgery.  Robert Lutts made a motion to approve $358.00 from the Endicott fund.  The motion was seconded by Thaddeus Buczko and voted unanimously.

Cindy Napier-Kowski from the Salem High School Music Department submitted a request for funding from the Harris fund for the top three music students.  Three checks for $25 will be forwarded to her.  

The Board will ask the Eastern Bank representative to attend the December Board meeting.

The fourth quarter report was distributed to the Board.  

There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned.
